Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy explains how AutoStackNotes handles information through autostacknotes.com and the AutoStackNotes Chrome extension. AutoStackNotes is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Substack.

Information we handle

• Account information, including your email address and AutoStackNotes profile.
• Substack publication information, creator handles, public profile details, posts, Notes, drafts, scheduling metadata, and Note performance data needed for features you request.
• Content you create, save, generate, schedule, publish, or choose as an AI reference.
• Extension settings and operational records stored locally in Chrome, such as pending work, recent sync state, and identifiers needed to match scheduled Notes.
• Technical and usage information needed to secure, operate, diagnose, and improve the service.

The extension uses your existing Substack browser session to perform actions you request. It may check whether an authentication cookie exists or use an account identifier stored by Substack, but AutoStackNotes does not transmit the value of your Substack session cookie to AutoStackNotes servers.

How we use information

We use information only to provide and improve AutoStackNotes features: connecting your publication, syncing posts and Notes, saving references, following creators, generating drafts, scheduling or publishing Notes, maintaining automations, reporting analytics, providing support, preventing abuse, and complying with law.

The extension reads and acts on Substack pages only where required for its disclosed features. It does not sell browsing activity or use Substack content for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.

Service providers and disclosures

Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the product, including Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and database services, AI model providers selected by AutoStackNotes for requested generation features, Resend for transactional email, Stripe for payments, PostHog and Vercel Analytics for product reliability and aggregate usage measurement, and Rewardful for affiliate attribution. These providers process information only for the relevant operational purpose.

The extension also sends requests directly to Substack when you ask it to sync, create, schedule, publish, update, or delete Substack content. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice and consent where required.

Data retention, control, and security

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. You may delete content through product controls and request account or data deletion by emailing support@autostacknotes.com. Removing the extension clears its access to Chrome and Substack pages; Chrome may retain local extension data until the extension is removed.

Personal and sensitive information is transmitted over HTTPS. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we handle.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. AutoStackNotes limits its use and transfer of extension user data to providing or improving the extension's disclosed user-facing features and related security and operational purposes.
